They Do Not Die 2 v0.8 – Windows & Wii & PS3

June 15, 2012

Here is a small update for They Do Not Die 2 along with its first Windows release.

I’ve added blood and corpses. On Wii and PS3 they quickly shrink until they disappear but on Windows they fade instead of shrink (which I think looks a lot better) and there can be more of them in the game world at a time which means that they disappear more slowly.

I’ve also made a handful of minor and most likely unnoticeable changes (mostly related to city generation).

Windows controls:
WASD = Move
Mouse cursor = Aim
Right mouse button = Fire the rocket launcher
Left mouse button = Fire the machine gun
Left shift = Run
Space = Pause

Wii controls:
Analog stick = Move
Pointer = Aim
Left = Fire the rocket launcher
Down = Fire the machine gun
Right = Fire the shotgun
A = Run
B = Fire the machine gun
Plus = Pause
Minus = Pause

PS3 controls:
Left analog stick = Move
Right analog stick = Aim
L1 = Fire the rocket launcher
R1 = Fire the machine gun
L2 = Fire the shotgun
L3 = Run
Start = Pause

The Catachthonic v0.9 – Wii & Windows

February 5, 2012

Remember that thing I was making (Something/TempName/TheClosedSystem)? It was 3D, had third and first person view modes and an editable environment? Well I have decided the final title will be The Catachthonic.

I’ve added some more things you can do. You can go into slow motion now. You can also spawn enemies that look just like you and follow you around.

I’ve added dirt above you (I’ve decided that the game will take place underground but for performance reasons I may actually remove this later or make it an optional cosmetic thing exclusive to the Windows version).

There are more things you can enable or disable now in the Windows version by editing the settings.ini file.

I’m pretty sure there are other things but I’m not sure what was done before and what was done after the previous release.

Windows controls:
WASD = Move
Mouse = Aim
Space = Jump
Left mouse button = Action
Q and E = Change action
Right mouse button = Change view

Wii controls:
Analog stick = Move
IR pointer = Aim
C = Jump
B = Action
Left and Right = Change action
A = Change view

Neo Race v0.3 – Windows

December 18, 2011

This is a new build of Neo Race (one of the first few games I made for PS3) for Windows. A lot has been rewritten but nothing much has been changed. It will most likely finally be getting a Wii port sometime soon. I might even begin updating it again for PS3 but that’s less likely.

Windows controls:
A and D = Turn
Space = Accelerate
Enter = return to the main menu

Windows controls (in the editor):
WASD = Move
QE = Move up or down
Space = Add a track point
P = Remove a track point
Up = Remove all track points
Z = Reload track
X = Save track
Enter = return to the main menu

Yeah I know those controls are totally random. A lot will be changed the next time I update it.

Something v0.000003 – Wii & Windows

November 15, 2011

Here is yet another update to that still nameless thing I’ve been posting for roughly a week now. There are a lot of small changes. Blocks are solid now even when falling, the way legs rotate has improved, now you aim where the cursor is pointing instead of where the center of the screen is pointing, I removed the spheres that followed you, there are more things you can change by editing the settings file, etc. Mostly it’s just polish and optimization.

There is also a Wii version now.

I think I’ve figured out now what I’m actually going to make this game into.

Windows controls:
WASD = Move
Mouse = Aim
Space = Jump
Left mouse button = Action
Q and E = Change action
Right mouse button = Change view

Wii controls:
Analog stick = Move
IR pointer = Aim
C = Jump
B = Action
Left and Right = Change action
A = Change view
