Super Pixel Jumper v1.3 – Wii

May 27, 2013

I’ve updated Super Pixel Jumper for Wii. The music is looping properly again, there have been a lot of behind the scenes changes (mostly as a result of cleanup / rewrites done for the PS3 port), and it has all of the usual updates that have been in my other recent releases (newer home menu and bug fixes).

I also set a new high score well testing it! I’m now at the top of the leaderboard with 4331 points. I hadn’t mentioned it yet, but I not so recently made a tumblr page for my homebrew (platonicrobot.tumblr.com). Right now it’s just setup to automatically post whenever someone sets a new personal high score on any leaderboard. I haven’t really decided what (if anything) else to do with it. Let me know if you have any suggestions. I don’t plan to stop using this word press blog for release news and things like that but maybe I’ll start cross posting…

18 Wii homebrew updates

May 20, 2013

I’ve updated a bunch of my homebrew programs. There have been no actual gameplay changes, but like the last couple things I released for Wii (Wii Chatter v0.3 and They Do Not Die 2 v0.9) they have a newer home menu and have all been compiled with more up to date libraries so a ton of bugs have been corrected (newer wiimotes for example are now compatible).

Wii Chatter v0.3 – Wii

April 16, 2013

I’ve updated Wii Chatter!

The new version features a few additional keys on the keyboard (including the long request question mark) and may or may not have partial USB keyboard support (USB keyboards don’t seem to be working with any homebrew for me so I can’t really test it until I figure out what that’s about).

The maximum length for a post has been slightly increased.

It automatically refreshes once every 15 seconds (as long as you are scrolled down to the bottom and the cursor is off screen).

It looks different and you can randomize the color scheme at any time by pressing 2 or reset it by pressing 1. If there is demand for it I’ll setup a proper color selection menu and have the color scheme saved and loaded.

The frame rate has improved.

Since I finally updated the libraries I’m using there shouldn’t be any more problems with new Wiimotes and I’m sure there are probably other obscure bugs I’m not aware of that have been corrected.

They Do Not Die 2 v0.9 – Wii

April 2, 2013

Here is an updated version of they Do Not Die 2 for Wii!

Nothing about the game itself should be any different.

But I’ve updated LibOGC for the first time in a long time. So the game is now compatible with new wiimotes and there are likely a ton of other fixed bugs.

I’ve also updated the home menu that I use. Now the right window in the main home menu supports links and the network button has been replaced with a back button that only appears when browsing pages.

If I remember correctly the last release of They Do Not Die 2 was before I had added any kind of network functionality to the home menu.
