I’ve updated a bunch of my homebrew programs. There have been no actual gameplay changes, but like the last couple things I released for Wii (Wii Chatter v0.3 and They Do Not Die 2 v0.9) they have a newer home menu and have all been compiled with more up to date libraries so a ton of bugs have been corrected (newer wiimotes for example are now compatible).
Tired of downloading homebrew programs individually? Here is a nice little rar archive that includes all of my recent(ish) releases. It’s everything I’ve released for Wii since I last updated the home menu I include with all my homebrew.

Oh and I’ve updated the version of PlatonicRobot.com that you get access to when you use that v3.0 home menu. You can finally vote in polls (as long as you have an account) and you can read and post comments in the homebrew database (there is a page for each of my homebrew projects). So click that network button in the bottom right corner of the home menu and go discuss and vote on some junk. The actual site (the version you get when you visit it with a regular web browser) has gotten a few small updates tonight too.
What is NOT included in the pack (AKA my updated to do list):
Swing Ball
Swing Ball 2

32 included and 22 excluded adding up to a total of 55 Wii homebrew projects. I have a tendency to start random things and then quickly abandon them when I lose interest. But I’m going to try and stick to these 55 projects.
Here is an updated version of Cubicle Shooter (not to be confused with Cubicle Shooter City) for Wii.
I fixed a bug that would sometimes allow you to jump before landing and made optimizations to world rendering that have improved the frame rate.
Thanks to the wonders of threading the program no longer locks up while saving or loading. So you can bring up the home menu and go read comments on user pages or something well it’s saving. I made some changes to saving and loading (old game saves aren’t compatible anymore) that should probably improve the speed of it but I didn’t time it so I can’t really confirm that. Loading is fine but saving the game still takes an absurdly long time.
You’ve probably noticed that a LOT of the links around here have died. To rectify that I’ve begun uploading all of my stuff to PlatonicRobot. You can now go there to find the most recent versions of everything I’ve ever released for Wii.
Here are updated builds of three seemingly randomly selected pieces of homebrew that I had made for Wii. Three Point O has been significantly overhauled and no longer becomes distorted when you look up or down. Cubicle Shooter and Gravity Glide are more minor updates. I’ve fixed a problem with shooting well looking up or down and aiming away from the center of the screen in Cubicle Shooter. In Gravity Glide the background music now plays more correctly.
It was my plan to organize (most of them are scattered around in different places) and fix up (a lot of them currently won’t compile properly for a verity of reasons) everything I had previously released for Wii and then release new versions of all of them along with the source code (like I did recently with my PS3 stuff) by the end of December. But Laziness and the holidays kept me from being productive and then more time was wasted because IMG_Load had inexplicably stopped working for me on Wii (I eventually gave up trying to figure out why and was able to put together a suitable alternative with the help of the always awesome LodePNG). It is still something I want to do but with only two days remaining (and approximately 40 programs) that obviously isn’t going to happen in the time frame I had originally hoped for.
So anyways you can expect to see at least one update a day and a source code dump by the end of January.
On a vaguely related note, Does anyone know what the deal is with 8bit Collective? It’s where I got a lot of the music I use in my games, the address that I give in the credits (a lot of artists don’t have their own personal sites) and a place that I would love to be able to go back to for finding new and great music to use in some of my currently mute games. But the site seems to have been down for at least a week now. Are they just under maintenance or switching servers or something or is the site gone for good?
